We can register a new domain name for you, or host an existing domain name, which will be used for your web site and email. A Web Hosting service allows you to publish your blog, online store, website or any project on the Internet. Once signed up, you simply log in and upload your website. It will then be available online instantly, for anyone to visit.
Simply register your domain name through our domain registration page. Once your order is placed, your hosting plan will be automatically created and you will receive login details for the control panel via email.
Our hosting plans are designed so that the diskspace allocated within each package should be sufficient for any web site. You can monitor how much disk space you have been using via the control panel. If you feel that you are likely to exceed your allocated diskspace, then you can choose to upgrade your package to increase the allowance at any time.
As we're sure you know - some hosts may offer 'unlimited' storage. The reason why we don't offer or advertise 'unlimited' disk space is very simple... it is NOT possible. If you read the small print (usually in the T&Cs) you’ll find that it’s only unlimited until you go over their 'fair site usage'. With HodHost, your account's disk space resources are guaranteed when you purchase. We DO NOT overload our servers which guarantees high performance and your website will load quickly.
All of our hosting accounts include email addresses/mailboxes as standard. Simply log into the control panel and create and modify the accounts and addresses in the mail section.
We use cPanel which is the industry leading control panel for website management. This allows us to automatically provision our hosting services, so you can get instant access to set up websites, email and more upon order completion.
We are based in the UK, with our Head Office being in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. Our datacentre is in London; this matters as the closer you are to your server, the quicker your website loads. All power consumed at our datacentre facility uses 100% renewable energy.
Accounts will be set up immediately after payment. You will receive a welcome email with instructions on getting started within a few minutes after making your payment.
Yes, you can upgrade at any time without your website suffering any downtime.
You can pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. If you decide to pre-pay, we give you some great discounts on our ongoing pricing. A one year prepayment gives you 2 free months and a free domain name.
